Iron sealed deep groove ball bearing

Deep Groove Ball Bearing
Deep groove ball bearings, also known as radial ball bearings in the original classification, are the most widely used type of rolling bearing. Characterized by low friction resistance and high rotational speed, they can also be used for components that withstand axial loads, such as low-power motors, automotive and tractor gearboxes, machine tool transmissions, general-purpose machinery, tools, etc.
Key Parameters
Deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of rolling bearing.
A standard deep groove ball bearing consists of an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of steel balls, and a set of cages. Deep groove ball bearings are divided into two types: single-row and double-row. They are also categorized as open-type and sealed-type based on structural design. Open-type bearings have no sealing structure, while sealed deep groove ball bearings include dust-proof seals and oil-proof seals. The oil-proof type features contact seals that effectively prevent grease leakage from the bearings.
Operating Principle
Deep groove ball bearings primarily withstand radial loads, but can also bear combined radial and axial loads. When subjected to pure radial load, the contact angle is zero. When a deep groove ball bearing has a large radial clearance, it exhibits the characteristics of an angular contact bearing and can withstand high axial loads. Deep groove ball bearings have extremely low friction coefficients and high limiting rotational speeds.
Bearing Properties
As the most commonly used rolling bearings, deep groove ball bearings feature a simple structure and easy operation. They are mainly designed to withstand radial loads; however, when the bearing's radial clearance is increased, they possess certain characteristics of angular contact ball bearings and can withstand combined radial and axial loads, or even pure axial loads in some cases. Compared with other bearings of the same dimensions, deep groove ball bearings have a smaller friction coefficient and higher limiting rotational speed, but they are not resistant to impact and are unsuitable for heavy-load applications.
Bearing Structure
Compared with other bearing types, deep groove ball bearings have a simple structure, which allows for high manufacturing precision, convenient mass production, and low manufacturing costs, making them extremely prevalent. In addition to the basic type, deep groove ball bearings also have various improved designs, including: deep groove ball bearings with dust shields, deep groove ball bearings with rubber seals, deep groove ball bearings with filling slots, high-load-capacity deep groove ball bearings, and double-row deep groove ball bearings.
