Angular Contact Bearing

Angular Contact Ball Bearing
Angular contact ball bearings can withstand both radial and axial loads and operate at relatively high speeds. The larger the contact angle, the higher the axial load-carrying capacity. High-precision and high-speed bearings typically have a contact angle of 15 degrees. Under the action of axial force, the contact angle will increase.
Single-row angular contact ball bearings can only bear axial load in one direction, and they generate additional axial force when subjected to radial load. They can only limit the axial displacement of the shaft or housing in a single direction. Angular contact ball bearings with a 40-degree contact angle can withstand large axial loads. Single-row angular contact ball bearings feature a non-separable structure, and the shoulder heights on both sides of the inner and outer rings are different. To enhance the load-carrying capacity of the bearings, one of the shoulders is machined to a lower height, which allows more balls to be installed in the bearing.

Double-row angular contact ball bearings can bear large radial loads, combined radial and axial loads, as well as moment loads, while limiting the axial displacement of the shaft in both directions. The tilt angle between the inner and outer rings of double-row angular contact ball bearings is restricted by their structural elements; they are mainly used to limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft and housing. The allowable tilt angle depends on the bearing internal clearance, bearing size, internal structure, and the effects of force and moment on the bearing. The allowable tilt angle must ensure that the bearing does not suffer excessive additional stress. If there is a tilt angle between the inner and outer rings of the bearing, the service life of the bearing will be affected, the running accuracy of the bearing will decrease, and the operating noise will increase.
Applications of single-row angular contact ball bearings: Machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, gas turbines, booster pumps, drilling equipment, food machinery, dividing heads, welding machines, low-noise cooling towers, electromechanical equipment, etc.

Applications of double-row angular contact ball bearings: Oil pumps, Roots blowers, air compressors, various transmission systems, fuel injection pumps, food packaging machinery, welding machines, soldering irons, square cases, gravity sprayers, testing and analytical equipment, fine chemical machinery, etc.
